PAINTING on the EDGE

My art work is selected "PAINTING on the EDGE" 10th Annual international Juried Show. Vancouver, BC, Canada. Happy day today.


From the FCA site:

This is a juried competition open to all living artists worldwide featuring original paintings, printmaking and drawing media: Abstract, expressive, impressionist or realist styles.
The name, Painting on the Edge, is partly derived from the physical location of Vancouver, BC Canada on the West Coast of North America, on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, and from the challenge issued to the artists to push their artistic limits and create extraordinary and unique images. Successful entries will combine an original subject or concept, feature excellent composition and skillful use of the chosen medium.  They will capture the jury’s interest and excite or move the viewer because they represent the artist’s imagination, involvement and sincerity. The jury panel for this year is comprised of three innovative and influential artists in the West Coast scene.

カナダ、バンクーバーの国際コンペに受かりました。
カナダは初めてなので嬉しいです。


ところで昨日アンティークショップをのぞきに行きました。

広い体育館のような建物の中にたくさんのお店が入っています。

もし目利きならばものすごいお宝物を見つけることも可能なのだと思うのですが・・。
（残念なことに私が興味があるのは手ごろな値段の食器やポスターです。）
装飾品もすごいデコラティブなものなどもあって素敵です。
ここでは毎週オークションも開かれてます。

一つ一つ見ていって最後の方になんとお雛様の三人官女を見つけました。
おぐしも乱れていて、ドラマのせりふじゃないけど、「こんなところに来たくなかった 」って訴えているようにさえ見えてかわいそうになりました。
お人形ってちょっと怖いですね。


さて、今日はパンも焼きました。おいしそうに焼けたので写真をとりました。

中にチーズが入っています。
味見は明日です！
